1st day: Fes – Middle Atlas – Merzouga Desert – Camel trek and overnight in the Berber tent

On the first day of the 4 day desert Trip Fes to Marrakech, We will pick you up at your hotel/riad and leave from Fez towards Ifran, a beautiful mountain village, nicknamed “Switzerland of Morocco”, then to Midelt.

During this trip of 4 day desert Trip Fes to Marrakech, you will have the opportunity to see the Middle Atlas and the High Atlas Mountains. we also take a stop in Azrou, Nomads Berber village to meet Nomads people in the middle of the famous cedar forest – the largest in Morocco – where you can see Barbary monkeys.

After a while in the forest, your journey continues to Midelt along the beautiful hills and mountains of the Atlas.

After the city of Midelt, you will pass by the fascinating Tiz Ntalghamt Pass and the Ziz Gorge, admiring the view of the High Atlas plateau. we will notice how the landscape changes to reveal hints of the desert as the city of Errachidia approaches. Here you will meet Nomad’s families, and have your lunch to enjoy the Nomad’s Berber hospitality.

Then you will walk along the lush valley of Ziz stopping for panoramic views along the way to Erfoud and Rissani. Arrival in Merzouga in the afternoon. You will also be greeted with a glass of mint tea before your camel ride, guided by an experienced camel driver to explore the golden sands of Merzouga.

2nd Day: Merzouga Desert – Nomads Families – Tisardmin Oasis – Khamlia – Erg Chebbi

The second day of the amazing 4 day desert Trip Fes to Marrakech: It’s a full day in the desert. “Date with sunrise” is absolutely important to get up early to contemplate the most spectacular sunrise you’ve ever seen at the top of a dune near the camp and enjoy this landscape as a gift of nature.

After sunrise, have breakfast and return to Merzouga on the camels. Then, we follow the Erg Chebbi, a big extension of the desert of sand which is the big dune of Morocco. which is over 250mts high. We continue then by the road that was formerly used for the “Paris – Dakar” and ends in the mountains that limit with Angelia. 

We will stop at the Tissardmin oasis where you can find fossil quarries still present in the area. We continue then by a road where we will be able to see nomadic villages and learn their secrets and their customs.

The next stop will be at a point of view to contemplate the Erg Chebbi hole. We will then reach the village of Kamilia, a native of Mali, where you will have the opportunity to have a relaxing cup of tea while listening to a concert of the spiritual music of Gnawa.

3rd Day: Merzouga Desert – Rissani Market – Erfoud Fossil’s – Todra Gorges – Dadés Valley

On the third day of the 4 day desert Trip Fes to Marrakech, We leave the desert after breakfast for Rissani where we will visit the marketplace (market days: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday).

We will then continue towards Erfoud where we will be able to visit the fossilized marble factories before heading towards Touroug and Tinjdad Palm Groves. An hour later, we will reach one of the best places in the High Atlas, the Todra Gorge.

The river’s course has dug a canyon on the side of a cliff, because of its beauty and rock faces popular with climbers. You will have free time for lunch in this wonderful place.

A short walk in the gorge is very desirable to better appreciate the beauty of the landscape. In the afternoon, we will continue to the Dades Valley, also known as the Valley of Figs crossing Boumalne Dades. We will stop at the “monkey legs”.

Dinner and you will spend the night in the Dades Gorges. and the end of the third day of our wonderful 4 day desert Trip Fes to Marrakech

4 th   Day: Dadés Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – High Atlas – Marrakech

On the last day of our 4 day desert Trip Fes to Marrakech After a delicious breakfast, you can admire one of the most beautiful views of the Dades Valley from a strategic mountain lookout point. From there, you will be able to appreciate the large number of kasbahs and their picturesque features.

Then we continue with a road with different kasbahs of tourist interest. we also offer a few stops to enjoy the “road of a thousand kasbahs”. the valley of the roses and the big palm grove of Skoura, we will go to Ouarzazate to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, the former home of Glaoui or Marrakech Pacha. And if you are interested, we can visit the movie studios and the movie museum.

One hour’s drive from Ouarzazate, we will stop at the ksar (fortified village) of Ait Ben Haddou where we will visit the famous Kasbah (declared World Heritage of UNESCO in 1987).

Many famous films have been shot in this spectacular scene, including Gladiator, Obelix, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, Sahara with Penélope Cruz … etc. Free time for lunch in town.

In the afternoon, we leave for Marrakech passing by the mountain port of Tizi Ntichka and we propose some stops to take pictures. Here we return to the moon. We will arrive in Marrakech around 8 hours. Transfer to the hotel and end of our 4 day desert Trip Fes to Marrakech.
