3rd Day: Merzouga Desert – Ziz Valley – Cedar forests and monkey troops of Azrou – Fes
Once you are ready, we start our last day in 3 days from Fes to Merzouga which will be in the north by the palm of Tafilalet, the largest palm in the world. You will see thousands of palm & palm trees along the 20 km of road.
This path leads us to the Ziz Valley, a river that descends from the High Atlas and feeds the palm grove. We stop to enjoy a magnificent view of the valley and the city of Aoufous from this elevated point of view.
3 days from Fes to Merzouga will be an opportunity to make another stop at Midelt, in the heart of the Atlas, where you will have free time to have lunch and rest a little. In the afternoon, we continue our way through Cedar Woods where, if we are lucky, we will see some monkeys.
The next place we will visit is the city of Ifrane, located on the northwest side of the Middle Atlas at 1630 meters above sea level. Its wide avenues, perfectly clean urban development, gardens, green spaces, and architecture make this city a Swiss city. Ifrane feels badly placed in Morocco. That’s why it’s called Moroccan Switzerland, and if that’s not enough, it has a major ski resort, Michlifen.
Around 8 hours, we arrive in Fes and transfer to the hotel.
